72. William A. S.³ Boyd (Martin Luther², Jeremiah¹)⁽²³⁷⁾ was born in Illinois about 1863.⁽²³⁸⁾ Bill died Jerome, Idaho.⁽²³⁹⁾

He married twice. He married Margaret L. Shamlin Benton Co., Arkansas, December 16, 1886.⁽²⁴⁰⁾ He married Ester Nellis about 1901.⁽²⁴¹⁾ Ester was born about 1879 Kansas.⁽²⁴²⁾

William A. S. Boyd and Ester Nellis had the following children:

135 i. Sylvester⁴ Boyd. His body was interred Benton Co., Arkansas, Wet Prairie.⁽²⁴³⁾ Sylvester was buried next to his older brother, Andy. He is not listed in the Benton County Cemetery book for Wet Prairie Cemetery, but family members assert that this is where Sylvester is buried. He may have an unmarked grave.

136 ii. Andy M. Boyd was born Benton Co., Arkansas August 31, 1903.⁽²⁴⁴⁾ Andy died June 19, 1913 Southwest City, Missouri, at 9 years of age.⁽²⁴⁵⁾ Following is the content of a newspaper article related to Andy's death:

(from the Grove, OK news) Andy Boyd, the nine year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Boyd of Southwest City was accidentally shot and killed yesterday afternoon near the town of Southwest City, Mo. by Homer Nelson, 12 years old. The accident occurred while the boys were attempting to cross a deep ravine. The younger boy had succeeded in crossing and the other had gotten partly up the side when he slipped and the shotgun he was carrying was discharged. The full load struck the Boyd boy in the face, tearing away part of his head, killing him instantly. His body was interred Benton Co., Arkansas, Wet Prairie Cemetary.⁽²⁴⁶⁾
