Ernest Henry⁵ Boyd (Walter Gray⁴, Stephen Daniel³, Martin Luther², Jeremiah¹) was born Benton Co., Arkansas 1908.⁽³⁹⁵⁾ Ernie died May 26, 1932 Springtown, Benton Co., Arkansas, at 23 years of age.⁽³⁹⁶⁾ Ernie was killed on Arkansas Highway 12 near Springtown when a tanker truck he was riding in turned over. The truck, driven by T.B. White, belonged to R.W. McCamey, a commissioned agent of Marathon Oil Company. Ernie's wife proceeded to file a lawsuit against Marathon Oil, but dropped it by order of the court when Marathon Oil offered to settle for $750. His body was interred Benton Co., Arkansas, Bentonville Cemetary.⁽³⁹⁷⁾
